“Cela me fait penser à”
“That makes me think of”
What expressions can we use when we want to add our voice to a discussion? It's a question which was put to us in recent days.
One useful expression is Cela me fait penser à (= That makes me think of). So, for example, we might say:
- Cela me fait penser à ce que Paul a dit hier.
= That makes me think of what Paul said yesterday.
- Cela me fait penser à un documentaire que j'ai vu hier soir à la télé.
= That makes me think of a documentary I saw on TV last night.
Another useful expression in this context is Cela me rappelle… (= That reminds me of…). Let's consider two possibilities:
- Cela me rappelle un article que je viens de lire ce matin.
= That reminds me of an article I just read this moing.
… and a variation:
- Ce que tu dis me rappelle une chanson de Bruce Springsteen.
= What you are saying (now) reminds me of a Bruce Springsteen song.
That makes me think of : این موضوع منو به این فکر میندازه که..... / این.... (جا،عکس،خانه،...)منو به فکرِ(خاطرهِ).... میندازه
